The rise of Anaïs Pouliot through the top model ranks must be awfully gratifying for her mother agency.
Since starting with Folio in 2005, the Lachenaie, PQ, model has always worked well, but in the last two years the career has taken her to the uppermost industry echelons.
Currently ranked #35 on the Models.com list of top females, the 5'9½" brunette (with Trump in New York) appears in July's Vogue Italia, shot by Steven Meisel, as well as in a (not so) remarkably similar campaign for Louis Vuitton, also shot by Meisel.
The legenday lensman also photographed Modelresource's former Featured Model (from February 2008) for August's American Vogue.
Pouliot's new editorials in German Vogue and LOVE Magazine were shot by Horst Diekgerdes and Mert & Marcus respectively.

Last week Modelresource had the privilege of attending the NEXT Face of Edmonton model search, at West Edmonton Mall.
Scouts representing Next offices in Toronto, Montréal, Vancouver and New York, as well as Pat Collins (owner of Images in Calgary, scouting for seven different markets in Asia) and guest judge photographer Koby (www.koby-inc.com) were all in the Alberta capital for the search, Saturday.
The winner was 5'10" Jenna, who will travel to Toronto next week, to begin her career.
These photos were taken of the 15-year-old in the West Edmonton Mall parking lot, immediately following the search.
There is no cost to register, no classes required, no photo shoots to pay for; just your chance to be discovered and work with one of the industry's top agencies.
The winner of the NEXT Face of Edmonton model search will be flown to Toronto to begin developing for a career as an international model, and promoted worldwide.
This search is completely open to the public, and Next representatives will be set up at West Edmonton Mall (2nd level, Phase II, near Zara) starting July 18th to give honest answers about the industry and its requirements.

Barrett Palmer discovery Tori Leach Elle Canada, by John van der Schilden
A bit of a shocker in the Canadian modelling industry over the weekend, as Ottawa's Barrett Palmer agency closed its doors after 29 years.
Email notice went out Friday morning from agency owner Samantha Pitman announcing "As of July 1st, 2011 Barrett Palmer Models International has finished her operations in Ottawa."
Among Barrett Palmer's better known models in recent years were Project Runway Season II winning model Tori Leach and Abercrombie & Fitch model Bianca Gittens (Specs, Montréal; Next, Toronto; DNA, New York).
