I really didn't want to wade into the Robin Kay thing, but after my own little encounter with her Tuesday, I think I need to share some insights and observations.
I was going to do it this morning, but for the sake of focusing on what's important, I'll save it for my fashion week roundup. On this site anyway, Robin Kay is less important than the models.
Let me start by forewarning any models that haven't yet taken to the runway that it is slippery! As Sutherland Models owner Ann Sutherland pointed out, it's as though the ice rink came early this year to Nathan Phillips Square.
Apparently the surface is scuff-proof, so when you're watching the video after the shows maybe gaze at the pretty floor instead of the clothes on the models.
Yesterday the surface got even slicker, compliments of the oiled-up bodies in the Ginch Gonch show, staged by Montréal überproducer Hans Koechling.
The trilingual headman of The Image Is... knows a good underwear body when he sees it, so the cast certainly held the crowd's attention.
I sat between Sutherland's Richelle Dobson and Christy Battell (who, I have to say, also have great figures) for the eye-popping extraganza.
